More Awards!!! Thank you Food Floozie

It's one of those days.  It's been one of those months.  It's been a couple of months of the same.  Imagine how lovely to sign on today...and scroll through and find I had been given awards from my friend

at http://foodfloozie.blogspot.com/
she has some great recipes there!  Delish!
Surprised?  Much!!!

Happy?  Me!!!

Here are the awards

That my friends, is a triple whammy!

So, I have to answer questions, 5 I think and pass on some things about me.  Questions are easy but what do you all not know about me by now?  Hmmm...

Questions first.

1 If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this? If you aren't anonymous, do you wish you'd started out anonymously so that you could be anonymous now?

I don't really blog anonymously, just enough to feel somewhat safe.  I really have nothing to hide.

2.  Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life?

Lots, I'd like to do one really beautiful painting that I feel completely at peace with.

3.  When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person or always ditching?

I always made good grades without much effort so that left me plenty of time to socialize.  I did cut class, and I'm glad I did.  Never the shy person.

4.  Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog, or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people and events?

It is easy for me to share my true self in my blog, although I have to be in the right frame of mind to do so.  I don't like to write when I'm feeling down, because who wants to read about all of your problems.  Also, your life starts to sound like an episode of Jerry Springer....not a good thing.

5  When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

I love to lay in bed and pray.  I do my nails, I love to drink a big glass of juice every night while watching a good movie.  In the summer of course I love going to the beach for the day.

Now for the tidbits of intrigue!

I love LOVE getting a good massage.  My best est friend is the best est Massage Therapist and it hurts so good!  After she gives me one of her special massages I feel so relaxed and have been sleeping better (sometimes 12 hours) and my blood pressure is down as well.  She is such a blessing in my life.  If you suffer from any kind of chronic pain I highly recommend getting a therapeutic massage.

I love to cook.  I love doing anything creative really and cooking is a form of creativity.  The only thing is I'm not good at just making something out of what I have on hand kinda cook.  I love having fresh herbs, produce in season, fresh bread, really good ingredients and plenty of them then I can create.  So, for the most part I go shopping with no plan really (most of the time) then I come home and create meals until the supply is low and start all over again.  I also love one pot meals in the Winter.  I have certain things I only make in the Winter and certain things I only make in the spring summer.  That's just how I roll.  For instance, Banana Pudding in the Winter is just wrong to me.

I love silk and satin.  Silk and satin anything.  If I see a pretty shirt or Cami in satin or silk....I have to have it....but how many Camisoles or Jammies does one woman need?  I'm not a sleep in a T shirt kinda gal.  I want old movie star long flowing night gowns, I like lace, if seed pearls are hand sewn on JACKPOT!  I do love a good cotton nightgown in the Summer but they are so difficult to find these days.

Now to pass these on to some of my favorite Bloggers.  I love reading your blogs and I am happy HAPPY to pay it forward.  I know some of you have one of these awards, maybe all of them who knows....but know that I thought of you and pass them on to others please.  I hope it thrills each of you as much as I have been thrilled.

My dear friend Debby at Just Breathe http://skyesofblue.blogspot.com/

My friend Heather at http://ourlifeinaclick.blogspot.com/

My other friend, Ruth, another Southern Belle at http://thisgritstale.blogspot.com/

Oh and Roz over at   http://bellavita-bellasblog.blogspot.com/ I love her blog so much.  It is my dream blog.  It is beautiful to look at and so many good recipes and she does this Fresh and Clean Friday where you find so many great ideas and oh....just too much to explain ....you have to check it out.

And finally Monica over at http://naturallighting.blogspot.com/  She has such beautiful photographs each day to enjoy.

Remember....be kind to each other.  Hug someone you love way too tight.

An Award? Lil ole me?? Thanks Robin

My friend, Robin, gave me this award several days ago.  I still can't believe that anyone actually reads what I have to say.  I have to admit I have found friends through this blogging adventure I never thought I would find.  I started this whole thing just as a way of journaling what I was thinking about.  Sometimes I write from my heart, sometimes it is pictures, sometimes it is music that really moves me.  I haven't been blogging as much as I would like to or would have.  I have suffered a great loss in my life.  My dear Aunt, who was like My Mother, passed away suddenly and I have just been trying to process this loss.  Many of you have been there to encourage me and that means everything.  You log on...and here are people, who have never met you, who care.  Awesome!  I hate that word...but it just came out.

Robin, is one of those very special people.  She writes from her heart.  She remembers what you are going through, what you've written about and if she has tips or advice she will give it to you.  One of the things she does is this amazing Thursday thing...Here's to You ....she actually dedicates video, music, whatever to a  person, it always amazes me to see what she has connected with you.  It is amazing.  I look forward to Thursday just to see what she has come up with.  I have found many of you through her blog.  Then ...she turns around and picks me?? Lil ole me??? for an award??? Jeez Robin you kill me.

Robin said I am to write seven things about myself.  First, I think anyone that reads my blog knows that I love music and the beach.  For some reason music lyrics just get stuck in my head and heart.  Music is very healing to me.  I also paint.  I paint in oils on canvas.  So I guess you could say I am somewhat creative.  Some times I just find silly things funny, I think I have a weird since of humor, I don't know.  I just like to laugh at anything I think is funny.  I love to cook too.  Not everyday but when I feel like cooking I really enjoy it, I like the creative part of it.  I love plants and flowers, I feel close to God in the garden and at the beach.

I am having the most fun building relationships with my Grandchildren...in the south we say Granchillin.  They are such a blessing from God.  I already told you when I write, I just write from my heart, I am not a writer.  It is shocking that people enjoy reading it.  I wrote a poem a few months ago and the compliments I received were so shocking, good compliments, that made me very happy.  I like things/topics that make you really stop and think.  You can learn so much about yourself and others. I tend to lean toward reading these kinds of blogs.  I would recommend blogging for anyone that has the time.  Good people, for the most part, you can learn, find like minded people wherever and share and become online friends.  Once in a while you find someone who really GETS you....that's just magic.
So, I understand now I am to choose seven (7) people that I read and pass it along.  So, here goes.

First, since Robin gave it to me I can't give it to her right?  Next, the next person would be Shoes but he gave it to Robin...I'm just happy they both have it...so..onward..

I'd like to pass this on to....
Sherri, she just gives you whatever she is thinking, feeling and I really can relate to that.

Kate, she is southern like me so I understand her.  I always read her posts, even though I might not always comment.  Keep it up Kate, loved the Christmas decorations.

Kat, she is so encouraging!  She is always wanting to be a blessing to someone else.  That's cool.
http://justabeachkat.blogspot.com/

Maggie, she is an awesome writer.  She just had a new baby girl.  I have been following her for months.  I think I found her through Google reader and thought she was just cool.
http://poemsandnovels.blogspot.com/

Chrissy, she introduced me to Tuesday Tunes....enough said....the title of her blog is great too.
http://www.firefliesandhummingbirds.net/

Nicole, she is southern too so I get her too.  I like her style.
http://nicoleabdou-destinationunknown.blogspot.com/

http://afreshstartwithkalei.blogspot.com/ I'm not going to share her name because I was noticing she doesn't sign her post with her name.  She is Kalei's best friend, you will have to read to find out who Kalei's best friends is.  She posts some awesome photos and I like her taste in music too.  She seems to be a very peaceful person.  I admire that.

Ok, that's my pick.  I'm not sure if you all have received this award before, if you have just know that I thought of you and your writing and sharing.  Please choose 7 people to pass it on to, say something nice about them or their blog.

Thanks again Robin for thinking of me.  For being a true friend when I so needed one.  Understanding.

If you love someone, let them know.  Hug them, be kind, write notes, sing songs to them....they will remember that forever.

What? An Award? Me?

I just can't believe it ya'll...I won an award today!  The award was bestowed to me by Marie over at http://thethingswefindinside.blogspot.com/  Never in a thousand kasillion years would I have thought I would ever receive any kind of award for my little blog.

I see so many of your blogs and they are so pretty and colorful and you have all the really cool buttons and so many followers and then....there is me....Me and my hydrangeas and my take on life.  In the South we say, "if you can't run with the big dogs...then stay on the porch."  I sometimes feel like I'm on the porch.

I have a brother/cousin who is a Web designer and I've thought about making him proud and getting some help..but, I kinda like it...yep, I kinda do like it simple as it is...it is me.  Over time I've learned to enjoy the simple things in life more and more.  For my blog to be called A Lovely Blog is quite an honor for me.

I have met so many nice people with interesting stories, points of view, challenges and talents.  I have my favorites people I feel that in a weird kind of cyber space way connected to somehow.  Do you ever feel this way?  I have some blogs that are just inspirational..give me pause and really make me think more.  Some blogs are just hysterically funny.  It's been a fun time in this blog land.  I've only been at it for a few months and I wonder why would anyone care about what I have to say?  Could I be an inspiration to anyone?  Is there anyone out there like me?

I really started this just to journal my thoughts and feelings so that one day my children may be able to read them and know me on some different level.  Also, I thought it is something special in being raised in the South and you go through a middle life metamorphosis that makes you do some deep thinking.  Never did I think I would have friends following me or blogs I look forward to read everyday much less an award.  I enjoy each of you and all you have to offer.

Now, as I understand it I am to pass this along..or as I say...pay it forward.  So here goes, I would like to give this award to...

Julie  I feel like you are you and always honest.  I like that.
